exchange - outlook - xp  Problems with email being delayed
I had a computer set up on our network that had windows 2000 as the operating system. we replaced it with a new computer with windows xp. Now the emails for that person are coming through delayed. From 10 minutes up to several hours later. We still have the old computer and when you connect it her emails are there. They will show up on the xp computer but much later. What should I do to resolve this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have seen an article with a issue with users not recieving new mail notifications so it could be something along the same lines http://support.microsoft.com/kb/815052/en-us The bit of interest in the article is " Also, when you start Outlook to the Inbox folder, you must click another message or folder before new messages appear in the Inbox" Let me know if this helps or not... Paul,I looked a the article but it doesn't seem to help my situation. Thanks for the reply though. I'm stumped. Not only is there no new mail notificaiton, the mail doesn't show up at all for minutes to hours later. This is the only compute or the server with this problem. the rest of the comuters are win 2000 and this is xp. Must be a connection somewhere but I'm missing it. Thanks again.Pam

Hi, Is windows xp sp2 installed and is the xp firewall enabled? Try to disable this and you shall see the mails arriving on time. Leif
